Bespoke: As good as it gets.

Where did 2018 go? I really have no idea, truth be told, but all I know is that 2019 is almost here. Rain or shine, the one thing the New Year always brings with is New Year Resolutions.

The problem is the same every year; we think of changing way too much and end up thinking of the resolution as a great big responsibility and inevitably running from them.

Most of us want to change who we are, become more successful. Well, they say you should dress for the job you want, not the one you have. So here’s a shout-out to success through simple fashion resolutions you should tackle for 2019 while being smart.

As a rule of thumb, it will always be quality over quantity. We focus on providing our readers with rational shopping information.

Do read our articles under the heading Style Board for personalised fashion tips.

Our first resolution for the New Year is to look deep within ourselves and figure out we do not “need” but buy out of “desire”. The idea is to go through every shopping list you’ve ever made and figuring out what was bought on a whim, and promising yourself, no more.

Trust me, it won’t hurt. And you will hardly notice it, and once you discover the usefulness of this consumer life hack, you won’t be calling up your parents near the end of the month to ask for some money.

Secondly, find your look; don’t just buy everything because some guy you met at a party thought some particular fancy dress would look good on you. Empty your closet out onto the floor and try on everything you own, figure out what is more you and what does not say enough about you. Most of the time, reorganizing your wardrobe, is all about reorganizing your mind.

Once you know the vibe you’re setting for 2019, set out on the hunt for small bazaars that have amazing clothing pieces at cheap prices. You wont just save money, you may also discover places and things you had never known existed, and who knows maybe you’ll be “InstaFamous”.

Treat yourself every once in a while, but try to treat yourself to things you actually need rather than splurging at your favorite shops. Make the effort to be more selective when it comes to making purchases in 2019. The more you buy, the more you’ll be throwing out, which means you’re giving into the trap of the fashion industry and following short lived trends.

Find who you are, let your clothes describe you.

Instead of spending like a shopaholic and mourning for that Dolce & Gabbana leather jacket that feels like silk on your skin, budget! The importance of budgeting cannot be stressed enough. Divide the cost of your dream item by 12 months and come up with ways to save if you can’t just do it. May be you could skip the coffee you get every morning just because you get to stare at the cute barista.

We wish you a very Happy New Year, in advance. :)
